The National Association of Diabetes Centres (NADC) is calling for Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified health care professions who would like to join the NADC Accreditation Committee.

Membership of the Committee may comprise of representatives from the:
National Association of Diabetes Centres (NADC)
Australian Diabetes Society (ADS)
Australian Diabetes Educator Society (ADEA)

The NADC Accreditation Committee aims to coordinate the following:
a.     Assessment of accreditation applications received from NADC member centres
b.     Review of accreditation standards biannually and in response to significant relative changes to best practice diabetes management and care
c.      Review of feedback from member centres completing the accreditation to inform changes to accreditation standards, the accreditation process and administrative functioning of the accreditation process

Mission: To promote excellence in diabetes care within NADC member centres

Objective: The objective of the NADC accreditation is to assist diabetes centres to achieve quality patient care through improved governance, centre structure, and improved educational and clinical services.

Aim: To lift the standard of service delivered by centres across Australia in an effort to meet key goals under the National Diabetes Strategy 2016-2020. Namely, practices and procedures resulting in improved care, improved quality of life among people with diabetes, and a reduction in the prevalence of diabetes-related complications.

The Accreditation Committee is responsible for providing the NADC CEO with expert opinion on the assessment of NADC member centre accreditation applications.

The NADC Accreditation Committee EOI closes on Sunday 9th July 2017.
