Introduction

This online survey is being conducted by the Academic Honesty Education Committee in partnership with the Office of Educational Effectiveness in the School of Arts, Sciences & Engineering.

The purpose of our survey is to understand instructors’ perspectives and to assess their most pressing needs when it comes to upholding academic honesty in AS&E, when teaching face-to-face and online.

This information will be used to support continual improvement of programs and processes related to academic honesty in AS&E. Your insights are important to us, and we greatly appreciate your time and effort in completing this survey. We are especially interested in how your experiences may have changed in the past 12-18 months, so please keep this timeline in mind as you respond.

Your participation is entirely voluntary. Completing this online survey will take approximately 10 minutes. Participants’ responses will be kept in a confidential manner. Only summarized data from the survey will be presented, primarily to audiences within AS&E (such as the Academic Honesty Education Committee). Summarized data may also be used to support the development of ICAI (International Center for Academic Integrity) survey instruments. No personally identifiable information will ever be shared.

If you have questions or concerns about the security or confidentiality of your responses, or any questions or concerns about the survey itself, please contact the Director of Academic Honesty, Greer Murphy (greer.murphy@rochester.edu).
