City of Stirling - Aboriginal Youth Consultant application

About the Project

The City of Stirling is currently consulting young people in the City to better understand what is important to them and how they can plan youth programs, facilities and services for the future.

As part of this project, the City is recruiting three Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people aged 15 to 25 who live, study, work, volunteer, attend services, or go to community or sporting groups in the City of Stirling to be Youth Consultants. Over three sessions you will help us do the following:
  1. Help design a workshop for other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people
  2. Help us run or facilitate the workshop
  3. Work with us to explore the findings from the workshops and make recommendations to the City of Stirling.

You will do this over three sessions:
Session 1: Workshop Design: Thursday 5th November (sometime after 4:00pm for 2 hours, time TBD)
Session 2: Workshop Delivery: Thursday 19th November (sometime after 4:00pm for 2 hours, time TBD)
Session 3: Develop Recommendations: Thursday 26th November (sometime after 4:00pm for 2 hours, time TBD)

You will need to commit to attending all three sessions. There is a chance the dates can be moved to accomodate successful applicants, so please still apply if you cannot make all the dates. All sessions will be held at Mirrabooka Community Hub.

You will receive up to $450 in EFTPOS VISA gift cards for this project if you attend all three sessions ($150 per session). If you do not attend all the sessions, this will be adjusted accordingly. We will also supply food and drinks!
