Animbiigoo Zaagi'igan Anishinaabek is conducting a Skills and Training Inventory related to the Greenstone Gold Mines (GGM) Hardrock Project (and other regional employment opportunities). The goal is to identify the skills, interests and training needs of each AZA member and help to identify appropriate employment opportunities at the mine or in other spin-off businesses.

The Hardrock Project will bring major training and employment opportunities. AZA members have priority for employment and business opportunities related to GGM through the Long-Term Relationship Agreement. Chief & Council are committed to supporting all members in securing training and employment opportunities. There are more jobs related to this Project than our community can fill. Meaningful and high paying employment for our members will help to maximize the benefits of development for our Nation. If you want a job, it is there for you - completing this survey honestly is the beginning of the process.

AZA, Ginoogaming First Nation and Aroland First Nation have created a corporation called Minodahmun Development LP to maximize participation and manage business and contracting opportunities related to the GGM projects. Minodahmun's goal is to ensure each First Nation plays a role and benefits from development in their Traditional Territory. Minodahmun will assist members in accessing training and employment opportunities. Minodahmun will work with First Nation training organizations, educational institutions (e.g. Confederation College) and government to  implement a long term employment and training strategy for AZA.

Following the survey, (with your permission) we will be in contact you to discuss the next steps in your individual training and employment plan. Some of the questions may be personal but we need this information to design an effective training strategy.

You may choose to skip any question you wish.
