CALL FOR SPEAKERS

SVCN's March 20, 2020, Activate Your Impact Summit is the nonprofit policy conference in Silicon Valley the nonprofit community has been waiting for. We've taken our popular summit focused on health and housing, and pumped it up to include new topics, new research, new strategies, and new insights. Designed for those who challenge the status quo, #AYI20 will equip over 200 nonprofit advocates in their work to fight for equity and thriving communities.

SVCN invites submissions from presenters who propose to:

·         Bring innovative advocacy approaches to the nonprofit community

·         Update nonprofit leaders on important policy topics

·         Present compelling stories of nonprofit or cross-sector collaboration on successful advocacy initiatives

·         Discuss any topic you think would help magnify the effectiveness of nonprofits in supporting thriving and equitable communities in this era!

We will accept submissions related to a wide range of topics, but highly recommend submissions on: housing; early education; healthcare; food access; census; legislation updates; advocacy how-to’s; and race equity. Speakers must present in an educational, non-commercial, non-self-promotional manner. Please, no sales pitches.

We encourage submissions from speakers who represent a wide range of backgrounds. We can offer some financial support to speakers with limited resources who are from underserved communities or from outside the area.

Use this form to propose your talk. We can't wait to hear your idea!

The deadline is January 23, 2020.

Please note: SVCN seeks to intentionally incorporate principles of race equity, diversity, and inclusion into the summit and in our everyday work.

Questions? If you would like to chat with a team member from SVCN to learn more about the summit prior to submitting? No problem! Please email Jenn Torai, Director of Learning and Member Engagement, at jennt@svcn.org.
