Welcome to the Information and Communication Technology Council’s (ICTC’s)
Needs Assessment survey!

Whether you are a small, local operation or a large, multi-national entity, the business case for attracting, retaining, and advancing diverse groups of talent is clear – organizations that embrace a diverse and inclusive workforce experience benefits including increased engagement, a better understanding of client and community needs, stronger networks of support, and enhanced innovation and creativity.

The Advancing Technology Women in Non-Traditional Sectors (ATW) initiative was developed in partnership with the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) and the Status of Women Canada to address the advancement and retention of women in technical roles outside of the technology industry.

This survey focuses on an important aspect of diversity & inclusion – gender balance in the workplace - with specific attention to women in technical roles.  For our purposes, “technical” is defined as an occupation that falls into the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector, and/or Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM)-related disciplines.  Research reveals that women continue to be underrepresented in these occupations, and the findings of this survey will help shape the activities and programs needed to help organizations reflect on potential gaps, opportunities, and begin taking steps to promote a more gender-balanced workforce in technical occupations.

All information collected is anonymous, and survey results will be aggregated and used to provide focus and strategic direction.
