In 2024, the Alabama Teacher Bill of Rights became law, establishing new protections to help educators maintain safe, productive learning environments. Under the law, when a student's disruptive behavior results in the teacher removing the student from the classroom, school administrators are required to take disciplinary action and provide the teacher with written notification of the action taken before the student returns to class.
