Abstract proposal

The Australasian Society for Autism Research (ASfAR) Conference will be held at Griffith University, Gold Coast, on 6 & 7 December 2018. 

We are now calling for papers that have a clear research focus. Abstract submissions will close at 5pm AEST on 16 July 2018. Delegates have an opportunity to present at this conference in the following ways:

  • 15 minute podium presentation
  • 3 minute (e-Poster podium presentation (plus 2 minutes for questions)
  • Poster presentation
 
To submit your proposal please provide us with the following information:
  • Full names of all presenters
  • Topic area/s
  • Type of presentation
  • Title of presentation 
  • Structured Abstract (max 300 words)
Note that you cannot save your submission. You may,however, view and re-open this form multiple times before submitting your abstract prior to 5pm AEST on 2 July 2018.

Upon submission, your proposal will undergo blind peer-review by at least two reviewers. Your proposal will be rated on:
  1. Does the abstract clearly state the aim of the project?
  2. Is the significance of the work clearly stated?
  3. Are the methods appropriate to the question addressed?
  4. Is the work completed or does it show very strong promise of being completed in time for the conference? (Submissions do not require completed work, but must include a plan)
  5. Are conclusions justified?
  6. Abstract clarity and organisation
  7. Is the topic of scientific, methodological, and/or theoretical importance.
