NT Child Protection Law Changes – ASU Member Feedback Survey

The NT Government has introduced major changes to the Care and Protection of Children Act through the Care and Protection of Children Legislation Amendment (Every Child Matters) Bill 2026.

Our union is preparing a submission to the Parliamentary Scrutiny Committee inquiry and we want to hear directly from workers across the community, disability and social services sectors.

We are seeking feedback from frontline workers about how these proposed changes may impact children, families, communities and the workforce.

This survey should take approximately 5–10 minutes to complete. Responses can be brief, and you do not need to answer every question.

This survey will close COB Wednesday 20 May 2026.
We want members to feel comfortable sharing honest feedback. Responses will be used to help prepare the ASU submission, but names and identifying details will not be shared.

5.Is there anything else you like your union to raise in its submission?
