Introduction

The Aquaculture Stewardship Council’s (ASC) mission is to transform aquaculture towards environmental sustainability and social responsibility using efficient market mechanisms that create value across the chain.  A robust Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system is key to understanding and improving the effectiveness of ASC’s activities and strategies, as well as to demonstrate results and impacts to our stakeholders.

Stakeholder engagement is a key part of our M&E system development and ongoing continuous improvement.  The following questions relate to the ASC Monitoring and Evaluation system narrative which can be found on the website. This document explains how the ASC M&E system was developed, how the different components of the M&E system (theory of change, results chains, indicators, in-depth evaluations and reporting) are linked.   There are 5 questions and this survey should take about 10 minutes to complete.  There are opportunities to provide more feedback.  You may contact the Standards and Science team standards@asc-aqua.org directly if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.
