Agricultural Stewardship Association Community Survey

As the Agricultural Stewardship Association (ASA) sets its priorities for the next few years, we’d like to hear from you.

ASA is a community-supported land conservancy serving Washington and Rensselaer counties. Since our founding by farmers and conservationists in 1990, our mission has been to protect our community’s working farms and forests, connect people to the land, and promote a vibrant future for agriculture and forestry in the region.

We protect the working lands by partnering with farmers and forest owners on voluntary conservation agreements that permanently limit development while keeping land in private ownership and on the tax rolls.

We connect people to the land through farm tours, land care workshops, and public programs on conserved lands and at our community forests in Cambridge and (soon) Argyle—inviting people of all ages to experience and learn from the lands around them.

We promote a vibrant future for agriculture by listening to farmers, supporting farm viability, expanding land access, and building public appreciation for farming as a vital part of our region’s economy, culture, and way of life.

Your voice matters. This survey is your chance to help shape ASA’s future and guide how we protect land, support farmers, and serve our communities in the years ahead.

The survey takes about 10–15 minutes to complete. Please feel free to share it with family, friends, or community groups who may be interested.

Your responses will be confidential.
