The Department of Behavioral Health will be providing copies of The ASAM Criteria 4th Edition textbook to clinical contracted providers upon request.
The ASAM Criteria, Fourth Edition, Volume 1 - Adults is a comprehensive set of guidelines that use a holistic, person-centered approach to developing treatment plans for persons served with addiction and co-occurring conditions.
The revised standards have been crafted using a rigorous methodology for scientific evidence review and consensus development. The result is an update that is easier to understand and apply for improved care for persons served.
DBH has purchased the ASAM 4th edition training from the Change Companies and will make the training available at no cost to DBH contractors and staff. Additionally, DBH will make available at no cost the ASAM 4th edition book to each individual that accesses the training, if requested. However, it is expected that certain staff within your agency may not need or want a hard copy book in addition to the training. Please identify the number of books requested to be provided to your agency in the survey below. Each organization will be required to pick up the books at a DBH location.
Please submit this survey by Monday, December 15.
