In order to keep the Examination current, new questions need to be added, and old questions need to be removed. Public relations practitioners can contribute questions for potential inclusion on the Examination. This process is called item-writing, and the Universal Accreditation Board solicits questions in an on-going basis. There are established guidelines for item writing to assist practitioners in this process. These guidelines follow industry standards for computer-based exams. Each question on our Examination also requires two references, one of which must be an academic citation from one of the textbooks on our bookshelf. If you cannot provide an academic citation, the workgroup will attempt to cite a source, but please understand that may reduce the chance that your question will progress for consideration. Before you submit a question, please be sure to review the item-writing guidelines and list of KSAs.
