   Sexual Assault Prevention: Community Advocacy & Bystander Intervention

This training promotes techniques and best practices when responding to incidents involving sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Attendees will learn how to improve victim services, investigations, prosecutions, and enhance community involvement. 

Featured Speaker: Lt. Dawn Jones
 Lt. Dawn Jones has been a law enforcement officer for 25 years and recently retired with the Milwaukee Police Department. During her time in law enforcement she held several assignments including working in the Vice Control Division and Sensitive Crimes Division of the Milwaukee Police Department. She was a federally deputized task force officer and worked on the Eastern District Human Trafficking Task Force. She was assigned to the Human Trafficking Task Force and served as the supervisor in charge of the Domestic Violence Unit and the Missing Person Unit. She teaches people how to identify and assist victims of Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Elder Abuse and Child Abuse. Lt. Jones promotes combined efforts between victim services, community professionals, community members and law enforcement to assist the victims as well as prosecute the offenders.
