2024 ApprenticeshipPA will bring together industry, education, workforce, and stakeholders across PA that want to strengthen apprenticeship and work-based models of training and development. Network with Pennsylvania's best of the best!
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Workshop and discussions that provide attendees with the practical knowledge, tools, and resources to embed into their work on and around pre-/registered apprenticeship, paid work experiences, work-based learning for youth, young adults, and existing workers.

TOPICS
  • Jobs FIRST models of training
  • The Mechanics - what it takes to start-up a program
  • The Quality - understand how to design, evaluate, and re-design programs to achieve employer and worker success
  • The Possible - get answers to address what stakeholders don't know, need to know and more around topics sich as outreach, marketing, program administration, recruitment, retention, advocacy & communications, technical assistance, funding, and related information
  • Workshops for Targeted Professional Audiences such as Education & Training Providers, Industry, Labor & Management Organizations, Career & Workforce Development practitioners, business representatives, executives, policy-makers and more
  • Workshops for Targeted 'Customers': industry-specific employers, students, jobseekers, workers, retirees, refugees, reentry, foster-care, opioid involved, and more!
  • On-Trend Discussions understand the trends, strategies, policy priorities and interests and more in apprenticeship, work-based learning, and more!

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The audience includes individuals heavily INVOLVED in apprenticeship and work-based learning and those INTERESTED in learning more.

WORKSHOP FORMATS
Presentations are 50 minutes in length, and feature up to three (3) speakers per workshop. A laptop, projector and wifi access will be provided.

TIMELINE
Workshops will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling-basis until the proposal solicitation closes. If selected, you will be notified and assigned a time-slot - Most workshops will take place on November 18th - limited workshop availability exists on November 19th (morning).

PRESENTER RESPONSIBILITIES
PWDA does not pay workshop presenters. All speakers must register (fee-included). Proposal information will be used for event promotions and communications. PWDA reserves the right to revise/edit content as needed. All submissions are required to be submitted via this survey - email, fax, and hard copy will not be accepted.

Proposal submission indicates that presenters will:
  • Register and pay the Symposium registration fee and related expenses to present
  • Submit a copy of your workshop presentation to PWDA no later than Friday September 6th.
  • Will not solicit sales from PWDA attendees; vendors are welcome to present but must incorporate real solutions and use cases. It is encouraged that vendors partner with existing practitioners to discuss the leadership and workforce practices, planning, and policy activities.
  • Submission of your proposal does not guarantee a workshop slot.
