APGA Environmental Task Group

This Task Group of the Operations & Safety Committee will:

Serve as the technical lead on environmental advocacy and communications efforts, focused on working to decrease distribution sector emissions:
o   Providing guidance for written comments to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other pertinent state and federal agencies.
o   Advising advocacy positions on environmental legislation impacting publicly owned natural gas utilities.
o   Recommending communications messages pertaining to the role publicly owned natural gas systems have in protecting the environment.

Share and promote industry environmental related efforts within APGA membership and their system:
o Such as: EPA Methane Challenge, ONE Future, and the Environmental Partnership
