Participation Registration
On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, the Virginia Assisted Living Association (VALA) will visit the Virginia General Assembly for the 2026 Virginia Assisted Living Awareness Day. Please join assisted living providers, industry advocates, and residents of local assisted living communities for this great opportunity to educate Virginia's legislators on the benefits and importance of keeping assisted living as a long-term care option in Virginia! Also, please help us to remind Virginia's legislators that SENIORS VOTE TOO! and they want to keep assisted living as a housing option in Virginia.
This is a great opportunity to engage with your elected officials, the Governor's Cabinet, and Legislative Leadership. Register to be a part of the conversation!
VALA will help assisted living advocates schedule visits with legislators and legislative staff members at the Virginia General Assembly in Richmond, VA. The appointments will be scheduled based on the availability of participants and legislative contacts.
All participants are encouraged to participate in an educational conference calls on January 8, 2026 at 2 PM and January 13, 2026 at 2 PM. These conference calls will provide information on what to expect at the Virginia General Assembly and important information on the legislative bills that pertain to the assisted living industry.
