Participation Registration

On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, the Virginia Assisted Living Association (VALA) will partner with NFIB and several of the state's leading business organizations for the 2025 Virginia Business Day at the Virginia General Assembly. Please join assisted living providers, industry advocates, and residents of local assisted living communities for the Virginia Assisted Living Awareness Day. Please help us to educate Virginia's legislators on the benefits and importance of keeping assisted living as a long-term care option in Virginia! Also, please help us to remind Virginia's legislators that SENIORS VOTE TOO! and they want to keep assisted living as a housing option in Virginia.

This is a great opportunity to engage with your elected officials, the Governor's Cabinet, and Legislative Leadership. Register to be a part of the conversation! Registration includes breakfast.

VALA will help assisted living advocates schedule visits with legislators and legislative staff members at the Virginia General Assembly in Richmond, VA. The appointments will be scheduled based on the availability of participants and legislative contacts.

All participants are encouraged to participate in educational conference calls on January 9, 2025 at 2 PM and January 14, 2025 at 2 PM. These conference calls will provide information on what to expect at the Virginia General Assembly and important information on the legislative bills that pertain to the assisted living industry. Conference call-in information will be provided in a separate e-mail following your registration.
