Executive Board position responsibilities:
- Attend all Executive Board Meetings - typically occur every other week for an hour
- Attend and participate in the annual induction ceremony in late February.
- Attend and co-collaborate on society events.
- Maintain a commitment to 48-hour email response.
- Represent ALD and Salem State University (SSU) in professional and respectable manner by abiding by the SSU community standards and policies.
- Maintain full-time student status as an undergraduate student.
- Commit to being a student for both the fall and spring semester (i.e. can not be graduating in December).
Open Positions and their descriptions are as followed:
President: Will lead coordination of the organization and Executive Board; create agendas and facilitate Executive Board meetings; Collaborate with other Executive Board members to ensure that that social and community events are coordinated (i.e. spaces are booked, event forms are filled out, and social media is coordinated), liaison with other honor societies on campus.
Vice President: Will perform Presidential duties in the absence of the President. The Vice President shall be responsible for the design and implementation of a community service/volunteer project during the academic calendar year.
Social Media Coordinator: Shall be responsible for designing social media relating to the events, deadlines, and other information relating to Alpha Lambda Delta. Will work with other members of the team to ensure proper scheduling and info relating to the events planned.
Secretary and Historian: Shall be responsible for recording of attendance and minutes from each meeting and uploading them for member visibility. In addition, the Secretary and Historian is responsible for the creation of ALD Newsletters for members.
Treasurer: Shall be responsible for assisting the advisor in collecting membership dues and maintaining a balanced budget. Will coordinate chapter awards and scholarships. Shall work with the advisor in reviewing E-Board finances and recommending budget proposals for the E-Board.
