AFC Collaborates with Windy City Times on its AIDS @ 30 Series
In recognition of the 30th anniversary of the first recorded case of AIDS, the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) is proud to partner with Windy City Times to produce a nine-month series of articles called AIDS @ 30. We need your participation to remember the early days of the epidemic, honor those we lost, and celebrate long-term survivors.
AIDS @ 30 will draw on over two decades of photographs and articles from Windy City Times archives and other Chicago publications. The weekly features, which will run from April through December 2011, will trace the early days of the AIDS epidemic, feature profiles of advocates, organizations, and loved ones lost to AIDS, and uncover personal stories of family members and people who have lived with AIDS for 20 years or more. The series will also feature in-depth coverage of the current state of AIDS in Chicago and around the world.
Contribute your story ideas!
The AIDS @ 30 series will be collected into a book at the end of the year. To participate by contributing a personal story or submitting a feature topic, please complete the following questionnaire.
The information you provide will be used to gather ideas for stories. You may be contacted by Windy City Times or the AIDS Foundation of Chicago for additional information. Your personal information will not be shared without your permission.
