Why we’re asking these questions:
The purpose of this survey is to gather information about the current health care priorities and experiences of immigrant Washingtonians. The information will be used in efforts to support and improve the immigrant health safety net, including Apple Health Expansion.
Because of federal budget cuts, many Washingtonians will lose health coverage starting in 2026.
Governor Ferguson has proposed significant cuts to health programs, including cutting over $61 million from Apple Health Expansion and reducing benefits. The state Legislature is considering how to help, but has limited funds.
Advocates and community partners are pushing WA to do better, but we need your insights to guide this work.
How this information will be used:
Lawmakers consider real life situations in their decision-making. Northwest Health Law Advocate (NoHLA) and Latino Community Fund of Washington will use your responses to help us understand your experiences and feelings about health care benefits and access. For example, what you share may be included anonymously, with no name or contact information attached, as part of a report or to share an example of barriers you’ve faced. We commit to doing everything we can to ensure your data is private and secure.
Your individual responses will NOT be available to anyone other than the NoHLA data analyst creating reports. You do not have to share your name. Your email is only collected for gift card delivery.
Who is collecting this information:
Latino Community Fund of Washington is a nonprofit organization that cultivates new leaders, supports cultural and community based non-profit organizations, and improves the quality of life for all Washingtonians.
Northwest Health Law Advocates is a nonprofit organization that has fought for health care for all Washingtonians since 1999. In coalition with partners, we’ve been fighting for immigrant health access.
