We also want your feedback on how the grant you received this year impacted your firewood bank and suggestions for how we design next year’s program.

RECOMMENDATIONS

outreach on home weatherization, energy audits and wood stove swap-outs?

* 23. Several firewood banks had emergency heating needs and weren’t able to
season firewood prior to distribution. Wet wood produces more smoke and
emissions and less heat. Please share any recommendations you have for how
future grant programs could help wood banks ensure delivered wood is
seasoned (dry or below 20% moisture) prior to delivery.
