We are conducting a survey to gather information from AFPNP programs on the use of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) within our institutions. OSCE has been defined as a systematized evaluation tool utilizing a number of stations to assess student clinical competency in a controlled environment assuring reliability and validity of the student experience. The OSCE can be formative or summative. A formative OSCE serves to provide a benchmark to orient the learner to his or her ongoing progress. The summative OSCE serves to provide an overall evaluation about competence.

The data gathered from this survey will be used to understand how OSCEs are being used for pediatric nursing graduate education and to create a white paper to include our findings and recommendations. This survey will take approximately 15 minutes and there are up to 18 questions.
