Foundation Funding of Advocacy Survey

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey by the Alliance for Justice concerning the funding practices of foundations around advocacy.

For the purposes of this survey, we use the term “advocacy” to include any strategy that an organization uses to influence the decisions or actions of the public or elected or government officials. Advocacy includes (but is not limited to) the following activities: research and analysis on public policy issues, legislation, or court decisions; public awareness and information campaigns; work on ballot measure; community organizing; nonpartisan voter engagement; regulatory efforts; litigation; and lobbying (which is an attempt to influence specific legislation by communicating views to legislators or asking people to contact their legislators).

Your participation and feedback are important to us. Your answers will be anonymous and confidential, unless you voluntarily offer personal or contact information in any of the comment fields. This survey should only take about 15 minutes of your time. This survey is intended to be taken by someone in your foundation who has a full understanding of your funding for advocacy.
