Introduction

Welcome to the AEU Early Childhood Education Survey 2012.

On the 1st January 2012, the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care was introduced across Australia. The NQF has a number of components, including national legislation and regulations; a national quality standard; an assessment and ratings process against the standard; and a new national regulatory body, the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority. The system is being rolled out progressively, with states and territories negotiating different timelines for implementation under the National Partnership Agreement for Early Childhood Education and Care.

The AEU is conducting this survey of ECE members to gather evidence on the impacts of the new national system on members' work and to inform the development of future lobbying and campaigning strategies.

Please note that high traffic at the commencement of the survey may result in the website freezing or similar glitches, so if these occur please try again a few hours later.
