Jones County is one of a few counties in North Carolina that does not have a local animal control ordinance, does not provide daily animal control services and does not operate a county animal shelter.   Jones County Health Department, Jones County Sheriff’s Department and the County Managers Office all receive animal control complaints.  Due to the complaints, the Board of Health decided to establish a subcommittee to discuss animal control issues as well as discuss the need to have an animal control ordinance.  To assist our subcommittee, we would like your input regarding animal control services.  Please take a few moments to answer the following questions:
