Creating Self-Directed Resiliency Plans at GA Airports (ACRP 02-92)
The Transportation Research Board (TRB) Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) is preparing a report on Resilience Planning at General Aviation (GA) Airports. ACRP is an industry-driven, applied research program that develops near-term, practical solutions to problems faced by airport operators.
ACRP is administered by TRB and sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration. The goal of this TRB study is to identify current plans and practices for airport resilience at GA Airports and other aviation stakeholders responsible for the national aviation system. The final report will be available to all airports at no charge.
Resilience can be defined in many ways. For the purpose of this survey, resilience is defined as the ability of a system (specifically a GA airport) to bounce back after experiencing a shock or stress (e.g. COVID-19, Texas power outage, etc.). Resilient systems are usually characterized by flexibility and persistence.
This survey questionnaire is being distributed to people with personal knowledge and experience in managing risks at airports. If you are not the appropriate person at your airport to complete this survey, please forward it to the correct person. The goal of this survey is to truly understand the issues, needs, opportunities, and best practices associated with resiliency planning for GA airports and to develop guidance and recommendations moving forward.
If the airport you are associated with has not addressed issues of resilience, your responses are still appreciated as they will be important to the study results and its ultimate audience. Please complete and submit this survey questionnaire by January 28, 2022.
