MN-ACP Leadership Day Health Advocacy Scholarship-2022

The Minnesota Chapter of the American College of Physicians (MN-ACP) will award 2-3 scholarships to medical students, residents, or early career physicians to participate in the in-person or virtual ACP Leadership Day training in Washington DC on May 17-18, 2022. You must be an ACP member and member of the Advocates for Internal Medicine Network (free for ACP members at http://www.acponline.org/advocacy/aimn/ ). If the ACP Leadership Day is virtual, then a scholarship of $400 will be provided to conduct a health advocacy project in your community/state. If the ACP Leadership Day is in person, then a $750 travel scholarship will be provided.

This application is for resident/fellow, medical student and/or early career physician members to apply for travel grants for ACP Leadership Day 2022 or Health Advocacy project funds. All fields must be completed. The application is due by Jan. 31, 2022.

* 6. In 250 words or less, please describe your interests in healthcare policy advocacy, as well as any previous involvement in ACP's advocacy efforts and/or chapter activities. Please note that your statement will be reviewed in a blinded process by a review committee at MN-ACP and you will be notified shortly after the deadline.

* 7. If travel is not recommended to Washington DC due to Covid, the ACP Leadership Day will be conducted virtually and meetings with the MN elected officials will be done virtually. Selected applicants will be expected to participate in the May 17-18 virtual events. A scholarship award of $400 will be provided to each selected applicant to conduct a Health Advocacy project in their local community/state.
