HealthConsult has been contracted by the Department of Health to develop and test the assessment, classification and funding (ACF) model to underpin the support at home care program.  

HealthConsult is responsible for recruiting a representative sample of aged care at home providers to participate in a prospective data collection that will gather: cost, activity, workforce and assessment data to inform development of the classification systems and funding models.  Any data provided to HealthConsult will be securely held, and not released to any other party, including the Department, in a way that would enable identification of the source.

To inform the selection of aged care providers to participate in the prospective data collection, HealthConsult is conducting a questionnaire to assess the type and range of home care services that are provided by interested aged care providers, along with the capability of providers to collect, extract and provide robust data to support development of the ACF model.

The questionnaire seeks information, at a high level, about the scope of services provided, operating costs and information on the provision of finance and payroll functions within your organisation.  Assessment of the questionnaire will ensure that sites selected to participate in the prospective data collection can reasonably expect to successfully provide the data requested and have an adequate level of support provided to them.

Process

HealthConsult will review all completed questionnaires with a view to recruit up to 80 aged care at home providers for the prospective data collection. These providers will be representative of the sector, and can be reasonably expected to successfully generate the data required to inform the development of the classification systems and funding models.

Survey Completion Guidelines

SurveyMonkey is the platform being used to collect the online survey data.  Due to their data storage arrangements, there is a chance that some of the data may be stored overseas.  The regulatory regimes governing data access and use in other countries may not be the same as those that are in place in Australia.  If you have any questions, please direct them to HealthConsult.
