My name is Dr. Kai. A. D. Morgan and I work as a Clinical Psychologist at K.A.D. Morgan and Associates. I am currently doing research with a team of psychologists: Dr. Margarett Barnett, Mrs. Djavila Ho, Dr. Kimberly Ho-Misiaszek, Ms. Christina Silvera, Mrs Chaday Nelson and Mrs. Yvette Boucher-Gardner.
We are asking you to take part in a research study because we are trying to learn more about some of the negative experiences you may have had throughout your life. We want to learn about your experiences at home or with other people.
If you agree to be in this study, you will be asked to complete an online survey. You will be asked about the people you live with, your experiences with bullying, and your experiences with being a victim of crime or committing a crime.
Filling out this questionnaire can cause discomfort when responding to questions related to your negative experiences, in particular; in the form of emotional distress or traumatic memories. If you notice that you are experiencing distress and need support, please speak with your parent or guardian and contact K.A.D Morgan and Associates via telephone at (876) 869-7657 or email kadmorganpractice75@gmail.com. If you are experiencing overwhelming feelings of distress visit your nearest public hospital emergency room or call the police at 119 for assistance.
People who participate in this study may have a better understanding of the effects of their negative childhood experiences and have more information to communicate these experiences with an adult.
If you don't want to be in this study, you don't have to participate. Remember, being in this study is up to you and no one will be upset if you don't want to participate or even if you change your mind later and want to stop.
