ark your calendars to attend
OSBA's 76th Annual Convention,
November 11-13, 2022
at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront Hotel.

 Please read the following carefully:

We are seeking informative and interesting workshops primarily targeting school board members and superintendents.

In particular, OSBA is seeking workshop content in the following areas:

• Board-superintendent relationships/board culture
• Amplify all communities' voices in supporting student success
• Engaging youth in board governance
• Acknowledge and support each student's unique needs
• Innovation and education
• Learn and model equitable practices in rural and urban settings
• Supporting student and staff social-emotional needs

To be considered for a workshop, presenters must include at least one person from an OSBA-member district or educational partner (e.g. ODE, Education Northwest or other not-for-profit education-related entity).

The convention format features 75-minute workshops. The workshops are held on Friday and Saturday (Nov. 11 & 12) of convention. If selected, your workshop has a 50% chance of being scheduled on Saturday.

To propose a workshop for the 2022 OSBA Annual Convention, please complete and submit this survey, which is our workshop proposal form by the deadline of July 15, 2022.

OSBA appreciates all submissions and will notify regarding acceptance the third week of June. Please note that if your proposal is accepted, OSBA is unable to pay any travel related expenses for the presenters.

Convention registration is an expectation for all workshop presenters unless this presentation is the only area of participation the presenter(s) has.  Meal participation is in addition to registration. For questions about registration, contact Jenn Nelson at jnelson@osba.org.

If you have questions, please contact Janet Avila-Medina at 503-588-2800 or javilamedina@osba.org
