Arkansas Black Hall of Fame Foundation COVID-19 Relief Initiative
As Arkansas and the nation continues to be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and our communities are affected physically, economically, mentally and emotionally, the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame (ABHOF) Foundation is compelled to respond immediately to help bring relief. The ABHOF Foundation and the Office of Health Equity at the Arkansas Department of Health have formed a partnership to address hardships caused by the pandemic. The Foundation will provide mini-grants, up to $1,000, to assist community organizations in Black and other underserved populations in addressing food insecurity, housing, household finances, physical and mental health care needs and education of children and families related to COVID-19.
Priority will be given to organizations or agencies that are specifically addressing:
--Economic hardships of Arkansans related to COVID-19, including food insecurity, housing, etc. --Physical and mental health care needs related to COVID-19 --Educational needs of students related to COVID-19
Uses of this funding could include: --Providing personal protective equipment (PPE) and emergency supplies for sanitation and public health.
--Providing emergency assistance (food, shelter, transportation, living expenses, rent/utility assistance, etc.). --Disseminating public health information to clients. This could include translation services.
Deliverables: If assistance is provided, you must provide a written report on how the funds were used.
Deadlines: Applications accepted until all funds are dispersed.
