I am Brandi Jordan, a doctoral student under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Miller in the College of Doctoral Studies at Grand Canyon University. The purpose of this qualitative descriptive study is to describe how animal-assisted therapy (AAT) trained mental health professionals describe the role of their dog in AAT and the therapeutic relationship of clients in the United States.
