Interested in a role with the Tri-Alpha Executive Board?

  • Your leadership is critical to help lead the honor society forward, and it also gives you great experience to build your resume and impress future employers. The available roles on the board are described below. Please take a moment to read through the responsibilities of the role(s) you are interested in before making your selection. You may select more than one role, however, you can only be elected to serve one position.
  • Those elected agree to serve for the entire academic year.
  • All elected members are required to be present for the Induction Ceremony (usually the last Friday of January) to represent the society.
Your short answer responses will be used to introduce you to the society members who will be voting. The timeline is as follows:
  • no later than Tuesday, April 21: submit your interest in a position
  • no later than Wednesday April 22: voting link with interest statements published for members
  • no later than Thursday April 30: members cast their vote for the executive board positions
  • Monday May 4: winners confirm acceptance of the position
  • Wednesday May 6: election results posted

7.Executive Director (President role):
Lead the Executive Board and organization; create agendas and facilitate meetings; represent the organization to the campus community; ensure all initiatives and projects are carried out by executive board members coordinating them.
8.Director of Member Development (Vice President role):
Will perform as President in the absence of the elected President. The Vice President shall be responsible for serving as the liaison/coordinator with advisors for the annual induction ceremony.
9.Director of Programming:
Shall be responsible for coordinating social, educational, and service events for the society.
10.Director of Administrative Operations (Secretary/Treasurer Role):
Shall be responsible for recording of attendance and minutes from each meeting and uploading them for visibility for members. Shall work with the advisor in reviewing E-Board finances and recommending budget proposals for the E-Board. Will coordinate any Tri-Alpha chapter-specific awards or scholarships.
11.Director of Outreach and Engagement (Public Relations Officer role):
Shall be responsible for creating posts and maintaining social media channels to keep members up to date on events and information.
