Every five years, our accrediting agency, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Colleges, requires that we choose a topic for a new Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). The QEP focuses on the improvement of student learning. Our last QEP involved developmental studies and was highly successful. Our new topic, as with the last, must benefit students and include ways to measure their progress. It must also be directly tied to our College mission (see page 3).
Five topics have been suggested. They are listed in alphabetical order on the pages following the College Mission. The names of the persons who advocate for each topic and brief statements regarding their merit are included. Please read each one carefully. Your input is important to us. On the last page, please rank order your selections, with one being the highest (your first choice) and five being the lowest (your last choice). This is not a vote, but your opinions will be seriously considered by the faculty when they make their decision at the Faculty Assembly meeting on May 8, 2013.
