The New York Library Association is gathering information from library patrons so it can demonstrate to state legislators that library funding should not be cut again. Funding for libraries has already been reduced four times in less than two years.
Governor Paterson proposes a fifth cut of $2.4 million in library funding that would bring library aid down to $84.5 million, or below 1998 levels. No other educational institution has been cut five times or by 18% over the past two years. So please fill out this survey and thank you for your assistance.
