Thank you for participating in the National Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Association (NFMCPA) Pain Medications Survey.
This is your opportunity to make your voice count in a way that will affect policy for millions of people affected by fibromyalgia (FM) and chronic pain. Your participation will help us to better understand the current limitations placed on pain patients in filling their pain medication prescriptions. Participation in this survey is completely voluntary. Please read the information below before deciding if you want to participate.
PURPOSE OF THE SURVEY
The purpose of this survey is to see how the potential new opioid medications ruling by the Department of Drug Enforcement (DEA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as well as the recent DEA restrictions towards pharmacists, is affecting patient’s access to prescription pain medication now. By filling out this survey you are helping the NFMCPA develop a position paper regarding the rights to treatment for people in pain, ensuring their dignity and honor by medical professionals and pharmacists. You will be doing a great service for others who need help in getting prescription medications approved and filled by their local pharmacies across the USA.
At issue is whether it is appropriate for a pharmacist to question a medical doctor regarding proper pain treatment for her/his patient. It is imperative that we speak with a loud voice to make certain pain patient’s rights to adequate treatment are preserved.
You are being asked to participate in this survey if you have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia or another chronic pain condition by a physician and have been prescribed an opioid pain medication by your physician.
You will not be able to participate in this survey if you have not been diagnosed with fibromyalgia or another chronic pain condition by a physician and/or you have not been prescribed an opioid pain medication by a physician.
