The Hunter Medicare Local has been tasked with the co-ordination of after-hours primary care in the Hunter and Port Stephens area. As part of the process it is essential that we have a clearer understanding from patients as to the current service provision in the area, your perceptions of the current after-hours arrangements and your ideas for how services can be improved in the future.
After-hours primary care is defined as:
• before 8:00am and after 6:00pm weekdays;
• before 8:00am and after 12:00pm Saturdays; and
• all day Sundays and public holidays.
