This is a four part questionnaire focusing on goal orientation in Computer Games. The aim is to understand goal preference and selection in gamers, focusing on your experiences in both solo and multiplayer modes.
In reference to the questions, it is important to remember that Computer Game Goals refer to the end state that a player and/or a group of players strive towards due to either internal or external choice and/or pressure. Goals form a bond between the player and the gaming environment, providing purpose behind the input of actions.
The questionnaire should take no more than 15 minutes, and open to individuals with any experience in playing current generation Computer Games. You must be aged 18 and above, due ethics and age rating boundaries. At the end of the questionnaire you will also have the opportunity to leave any of your own comments.
To classify the individuals who take part in this survey a few personal details are required. Any confidential or personal information will be kept under strictest confidence, with anonymity given to all those surveyed.
Please answer ALL questions as accurately as possible. Answer as you really are, not as the person you would like to be, or how you think others view you. There are no right or wrong answers. If you are unsure with an answer, choose the answer that is most appropriate.
Some questions may appear to be similar, but this is the manor of the questionnaire and the topics it relates to. All questions should be answered as if they were unique, and not in reference to questions perceived to be similar.
