We are seeking your involvement, along with roughly 200 other individuals, to participate in a research project involving personality and how it functions in an employment setting. The ultimate goal of this research is to refine present personality constructs, and to develop a valid measure that can predict work performance typically found in present organizations.
It will take approximately 30 minutes to complete BOTH phases of this study. If you agree to participate, you will be required to respond to items that seek to solicit information of a personal nature. This will not subject you to any physical pain or risk, but may potentially cause limited stress or psychological discomfort in a subset of subjects. Further, it will be necessary for you to provide correct contact information regarding your current place of employment and direct supervisor to obtain performance data. Identifying information will be recorded only for the purposes of matching your responses to your performance, or delegating extra-credit where applicable. At no time will supervisors or professors have access to your survey data. Strict confidentiality of individual results will be maintained, and any reports of this research will contain only data at a group statistical level.
This third-party website (surveymonkey.com) used to conduct the present internet-based survey is considered highly secure by current standards, though any information transferred over the internet has the potential to be exposed. You can refer here
for additional information. If you feel uncomfortable offering personal information over the internet, a hardcopy of the survey can be supplied by the primary researcher.
We cannot promise that your participation in this study will be of any direct benefit to you. You may find some value in terms of insight into your personality. You will receive no monetary compensation for participating in this study.
