Animal Welfare Standard in Veterinary Schools

This is a survey for veterinary professionals to develop a global standard of animal welfare in veterinary schools. It is being conducted by World Animal Protection with support of the World Veterinary Association. The results will be presented at international veterinary conferences as part of a global consultation process.

The standard will be a voluntary one. It aims to support the OIE recommendations on competencies of graduating veterinarians and a 'whole school' approach to animal welfare education.

The survey seeks your views on what the standard should cover, what it should be called and how it should be assessed.

The survey takes about 10-12 minutes to complete. The information you provide will remain confidential to World Animal Protection and no details of any individual or vet school will be published.

Many thanks for your help!
