Volunteer opportunities are now available!
There are so many reasons to become a volunteer at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force!
- Be associated with the world's oldest and largest military aviation museum.
- Become acquainted with aviation enthusiasts from across the country.
- Belong to the volunteer program that pioneered volunteerism throughout the USAF.
- Be a part of Ohio's most exciting free travel attraction, open seven days a week.
At the museum, a variety of talents are needed!
At this time, due to the expanding educational needs of the Museum, we are only accepting applications for dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to support our Education Division by assisting with their quickly growing programming and events. We are looking for outgoing people who love to share their passion for learning with children and adults of all ages. These opportunities cover all the major subject areas from science, technology, engineering and math to social studies, history, art and more. Volunteers are needed to serve in a variety of different exciting and fun opportunities, including touring school groups, teaching or assisting with hands-on workshops and camps, making presentations, running computer-based flight sims and virtual reality platforms, leading demonstration stations, designing curriculum and much more. We are looking for those who have special skills that they would like to share as well as those who are excited to learn something new! You're eligible to volunteer if you are:
- at least 18 years of age, civilian or military
- able to work two half-day shifts per month
- able to work one full day per week if providing technical support
