Green Sports Alliance Summit '15 Volunteer Application |
Thank you for expressing interest in volunteering for the Green Sports Alliance Summit.
As a volunteer you will receive complimentary admission to the Summit and meals. Complimentary Summit admission does not include travel or lodging costs, so please plan accordingly. Visit the Summit website for more information on discounted hotel rates. Please be prepared to volunteer for two 5-6 hour volunteer shifts on June 29 - July 1. We will send a shift selection email to the accepted volunteers with a list of shifts to choose from. However, we typically need help in the following areas:
- Registration Assistant | Help set up the registration area prior to the start of the conference. Compiling conference bags and materials for attendees. Assisting with a variety of tasks such as directing attendees, general registration, badge printing, speaker check in, setup/breakdown, etc.
- Directing Attendees & Breakfast/Lunch Waste Management | Assisting with a variety of tasks such as directing attendees to different programs, restrooms, exhibitor stations, etc. as well as monitoring waste disposal during and after meals as needed.
- Room Monitor for Plenary & Breakout Sessions | Monitor the session door and answer basic questions about the event. Display time warning cards for speakers, take room counts, run the mic for the Q&A session as well as maintain the drinking water station and assist the stage manager as needed.
