1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the City of San Jose’s Website Customer Survey!

The objective of this survey is to get feedback on the City of San Jose’s website directly from our customers. We want to know what you think about our website, and how we can enhance the information and online services we provide.

The City recognizes the great value the web affords residents, businesses and visitors. The web has become an integral part of engaging constituents and an effective method of delivering municipal services. The City has posted significant amounts of information and many on-line services. We have also undertaken a major effort to improve our openness to the public through an initiative known as “Open Government” or “Sunshine Reform.”

The City recognizes that a critical element in realizing the objectives noted above is to leverage the power of web-enabled technologies. The data collected in this survey will be used to develop a web roadmap for the next several years with a focus on meeting the needs of a broad range of constituents. Your feedback is critical to implementing a customer service centric website strategy.

The survey has four parts and should take approximately 5 - 10 minutes to complete:

o Functionality
