CPSELS Standard 1: A school administrator is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning that is shared and supported by the school community.

• Knowledge: The administrator has knowledge and understanding of: learning goals, strategic plans, systems theory, data sources, collection and analysis, consensus building and negotiation skills
• Dispositions: The administrator believes in, values, and is committed to: high standards for all students, continuous improvement, distributed leadership and reflective practice
• Performances: The administrator facilitates processes and engages in activities ensuring that: inclusion of stakeholders in vision development, vision-guided practice and programs, clearly articulated plans for accomplishment of vision, data guided vision development and goal-setting, garnering resources to support vision and goals, vision, mission, goals and programs regularly monitored, evaluated and revised (continuous improvement systems in place)
