Congratulations on your decision to take the first steps toward implementing a one-to-one program in your school or district. This is a significant undertaking which will affect the daily lives of all members of your learning community. CDW-G and Educational Collaborators designed this tool to provide you with strategic guidance and consultation to help you avoid common pitfalls and overcome the challenges of one-to-one programs. This tool assesses the technical and cultural readiness of a school’s environment for a one-to-one program, assists schools in identifying critical success factors that teachers and administrators may not have considered and provides recommendations to reduce risk and time-to-launch.
While not necessarily comprehensive, the survey will touch on each of the major functional areas of a one-to-one program including:
Goals and Objectives
Financial Planning
Device Procurement & Deployment
End User Support
Curriculum Integration
Marketing & Communication
Faculty Development
Infrastructure Development
The online survey takes approximately 1 hour and will gather both quantitative and qualitative information about your specific situation. We highly encourage the inclusion of key faculty, tech staff and administrators in both the completion of the survey and the review call. We also recommend you have your Network, Technology & Strategic Plans available for reference.
Upon submission, EC will contact you to schedule a timely, one-hour review of the survey. Based upon the survey results, an Educational Collaborators consultant, specifically paired with your demographics, goals, objectives and other key factors, will lead the one-hour review of the survey and discuss areas of concern or issues that require extra attention.
After the call, CDW-G and Educational Collaborators will deliver a best practices paper with recommended next steps.
If you're not able to complete the entire survey at once, you can exit by clicking the "exit this survey" button at the top right corner of each page and come back to your survey from the same computer to finish. Also, please indicate, where appropriate, that you have completed the survey. This will inform us that you are ready to be contacted to schedule your review.
