Thank you for recognizing someone for their service to an organization or cause. Please complete ONE form per volunteer. The volunteer must live and/or volunteer in Alexandria.
Criteria for Each Award:
Marian Van Landingham Lifetime Achievement Award: Recognizes Alexandria residents who served their community consistently over his, her, or their lifetime.
Joan White Grassroots Service Award: recognizes volunteers who selflessly commit time, energy, and skills to further the organization's missions.
Youth Volunteer Service Award: Recognizes youth volunteers, ages 12 to 18, for extraordinary service.
Business Philanthropist of the Year Award: Recognizes a business and its leader for a commitment to volunteerism and financial support to the community.
55+ Award: Recognizes an RSVP Northern Virginia volunteer who helps make a valuable, lasting impact in their community.
Volunteer Coordinator Award (self-nomination encouraged): Recognized volunteer engagement professional dedicates time, care, and expertise to recruit, support, and retain volunteers while managing systems, data, and relationships that keep volunteerism strong and mission-aligned.
We are asking nominators to also please email one or two photos of their nominee labeled with their name to mail@volunteeralexandria.org for each application.
