Students will earn 12 credits under the program and must enroll for all three aspects of the program.
(a) Seven pass/fail credits will be earned through the work component of the externship; these seven credits accumulate outside the school’s regular 18-unit non-graded credit rule. Students work 60 hours per unit of credit. The USD Law Dean’s office determines the suitability of the placement.
(b) Five graded credits will be earned in: (a) a two-credit course on administrative law, agency practice, or legislative process offered in Washington, D.C. and (b) a three-credit Externship Seminar that has a writing component, meets weekly and on designated weekends.
Students must enroll in the program by July 15, 2015.
