SURVEY SAYS: Have Your Plans for Your Match Changed?

Question Title

SURVEY SAYS: As a number of you have pointed out over the past several weeks, it’s gotten to the point where every day seems to bring news that at least one employer – and some days several – is making the decision to cut or suspend their 401(k) match, generally alongside a set of other cost-cutting decisions.

Back in November, we asked readers about their intentions on the match (see "SURVEY SAYS: What Are Your Plans for Your Match?" at http://www.plansponsor.com/pi_type11/?RECORD_ID=43664) - but time has passed, and things may have changed.

Regardless of your decision (or pending decision), or whether it has changed (or not), I can tell you that I am getting regular inquires about those decisions – and more than one looking for some “company” in holding the line against the “trend.”

This week, I’d like to know (again) – What, if anything, have you decided to do about your 2009 matching contributions?

Question Title

Bonus question: Should we compile/maintain a list of plans that have made the decision to suspend the match – or is that just adding fuel to the fire?

Question Title

Bonus Bonus Question: This is the time of year when we could all use an extra hour, if not an extra hour of daylight. Nonetheless, for those of us impacted by Daylight Saving Time, this is the weekend when we will be expected to "spring forward." When will you be setting your clock(s) forward?
