Welcome to this OmniPod User Group Survey. Our goal is to provide OmniPod maker Insulet with user feedback on potential new features. Note: We do not ask about smaller pods and CGM integration because Insulet is already aggressively working on those features. Survey author: I am a father of a daughter with T1 and I am not otherwise affiliated with Insulet.

1. First, let's look at new features for the Pod.
Here we're looking for insight into trade-offs. Rank the following features in order of importance with a rank of 1 being the most important. You can only enter one feature per rank (i.e. only a single choice for #1, a single choice for #2 etc).

  1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Ability to customize pod appearance (skins, stickers, color, designs)
More visible canula (to confirm insertion and flow)
Slightly curved/cushioned (or flexible) bottom of pod for better fit
Removable reservoir (reduce insulin waste, support higher insulin needs)
Better pod adhesion, more contact points (especially around canula)
Larger reservoir (for higher insulin needs)
More visible serial numbers

2. Now let's look at the PDM.
Here we're still looking for insight into trade-offs. Rank the following features in order of importance with a rank of 1 being the most important. You can only enter one feature per rank (i.e. only a single choice for #1, a single choice for #2 etc).

  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
Integrated lancet in PDM (one less thing to carry)
Extend distance that PDM and pod can sync
Better form-factor for PDM (smaller, more modern style & features)
Vibrate option for alarms on PDM (more discrete)
Sunlight readable screen
Waterproof/shockproof PDM option (for outdoor lifestyle)
Smart phone version of PDM (iPhone, Android, etc)
Rechargeable PDM battery (like cell phone)

3. Now we'll look at bolus/basal software.
Here continue to look for insight into trade-offs. Rank the following features in order of importance with a rank of 1 being the most important. You can only enter one feature per rank (i.e. only a single choice for #1, a single choice for #2 etc).

  1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Bolus from food library by entering amount of item (i.e. grams)
In history, display actual bolus instead of suggested
One basal that includes different weekday and weekend settings
Upload food counts from a computer
Make settings more user-definable (i.e. alarm volume, alarm frequency, extended bolus interval, temp basals, etc)
Meal pre-sets for combination/extended boluses
IOB calc option that includes food bolus (similar to other pumps)

4. And here are some other system changes.
Here we again look for insight into trade-offs. Rank the following features in order of importance with a rank of 1 being the most important. You can only enter one feature per rank (i.e. only a single choice for #1, a single choice for #2 etc).

  1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Improved data reporting/mining
Go right to check BG after BG reminder (remove "ok" step)
Expand data input to include items such as A1C, Doctor appt, BUN, Creatinine, Cholesterol, etc
Alarm if canula has dislodged
Ability to enter carbs eaten to treat a low
Quick shut-off for alarms
More accurate calculation for insulin level in reservoir

5. Now let's look at the whole list all together.
This time we're looking for intensity of need. Rate the importance of each of the following features.

Must have Love to have Nice to have Don't care Don't want No opinion
More accurate calculation for insulin level in reservoir
Larger reservoir (for higher insulin needs)
Improved data reporting/mining
More visible canula (to confirm insertion and flow)
Better pod adhesion, more contact points (especially around canula)

IOB calc option that includes food bolus (similar to other pumps)
Slightly curved/cushioned (or flexible) bottom of pod for better fit
Expand data input to include items such as A1C, Doctor appt, BUN..Creatinine..Cholesterol, and other medical info
Make settings more user-definable (i.e. alarm volume, alarm frequency, extended bolus interval, temp basals, etc)
Quick shut-off for alarms
Alarm if canula has dislodged
